Discover The "New" Old World In Granada
Today's getting off to a slow start. It's 32ºC and they're calling for showers this afternoon. I'm listening to "Putumayo Presents Music From The Coffee Lands. I was drawn to this album after seeing a great documentary on TV Ontario called Black Gold. That documentary follows the history of coffee, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has ever raised a cup, and/or is interested in international development issues or social justice. There is a haunting track on the disc called Kothbiro by Ayub Ogada. You might also recognize the song if you have seen the film The Constant Gardener where it took a prominent role in the score.
